This book marks the beginning of an intriguing story based in a beautifully deadly fae world。 Kathryn Ann Kingsley nails the descriptions and settings, and I felt like I was being sucked in just as much as Abigail。 The maze is filled with various creatures and monsters that are both imaginative and horrifying in equal measure。 We also meet some very interesting side characters (Anfar, Perin, Astasha) who I hope we see more of。 I could not put the book down for the last 20%, and that ending has left me DESPERATE for more!At the core of this story is the ongoing feud between Abigail and Valroy。 These two share some fantastic scenes, bickering like there's no tomorrow and tempting each other more than either cares to admit。 Valroy is oh so deliciously sinful。 KAK really nailed the fae-bad-boy here with word games and bargains in abundance。 He's wonderfully twisted in all the right ways, and is seriously magnetic every time he's present。 You can never guess what he's going to say next。 On the other hand, Abigail has a quiet strength that acts as a perfect foil for Valroy。 She's tenacious and sticks to her moral code despite the madness of the Otherworld。 I can't wait to see her come into her own and hopefully embrace her strength as a witch。 。。。more

Karolyne Cronin,
I absolutely love anything with fae。 When Kat announced she was going to tackle this glorious rich mythological world, I was beyond excited。 Valroy is very much a villain in this romance, but that is truly part of his charm。 Abigail is very spunky and boy does she need it dealing with the Unseelie Prince。 This book is for anyone that loves villains and fae folklore。 Kat really did her homework and it shows because you aren't just reading this story but it pulls you in and gets close to it。 This I absolutely love anything with fae。 When Kat announced she was going to tackle this glorious rich mythological world, I was beyond excited。 Valroy is very much a villain in this romance, but that is truly part of his charm。 Abigail is very spunky and boy does she need it dealing with the Unseelie Prince。 This book is for anyone that loves villains and fae folklore。 Kat really did her homework and it shows because you aren't just reading this story but it pulls you in and gets close to it。 This story is more than a romance。 It's an epic adventure that you never want to come back from, as with all of her books。 The story is dark, a bit horrific, while still emotionally tying you to it。 I wish I could give it more than 5 stars because it deserves all the awards。 。。。more
Emily McDonald,
Terrific writing as always。 Ms。 Kingsley seamlessly weaves in the fantastical elements of the Unseelie Realm as well as the Maze in her plot of a prince of godly roots who seeks a bloody throne by conjugal means。 Monsters, Seelie royals, and merfolk decorate the scenery as our atrocious male lead kidnaps a human female whom he slowly falls fall over time。 Valroy doesn't disappoint; he's languidly sexy, violent, and not afraid to throw down the gauntlet when it comes to protecting his little witc Terrific writing as always。 Ms。 Kingsley seamlessly weaves in the fantastical elements of the Unseelie Realm as well as the Maze in her plot of a prince of godly roots who seeks a bloody throne by conjugal means。 Monsters, Seelie royals, and merfolk decorate the scenery as our atrocious male lead kidnaps a human female whom he slowly falls fall over time。 Valroy doesn't disappoint; he's languidly sexy, violent, and not afraid to throw down the gauntlet when it comes to protecting his little witch。 Conversely, Abigail is that speck of humanity that lights up the story。 She's tenacious, smart, and a pillar of morality that embodies the queen on Valroy's chessboard。 The two characters have so much chemistry, and it's plain cruelty to leave me on such a cliffhanger! Anyways, I so can't wait for The Unseelie Crown! 🤗 。。。more

I can feel us barely scratching the surface of yet another amazing world woven by KAK and I'm ready for more。 I adore her writing style and have read every book by her and intend to continue so long as she is writing。 Valroy, the unseelie prince will twist any words or situation into his favor, especially when it comes to what he wants the most, his throne。 When he decieves Abigail, an amatuer witch with a kind heart and strong principles, to get what he wants he finds her far more than he antic I can feel us barely scratching the surface of yet another amazing world woven by KAK and I'm ready for more。 I adore her writing style and have read every book by her and intend to continue so long as she is writing。 Valroy, the unseelie prince will twist any words or situation into his favor, especially when it comes to what he wants the most, his throne。 When he decieves Abigail, an amatuer witch with a kind heart and strong principles, to get what he wants he finds her far more than he anticipated。 With the seelie and unseelie court in an uproar over his actions with the mortal, they try and take matters into their own hands, for they know it will be the end of their world as they know it if the prince's plot is successful。 Will the little witch temper his nature and change his actions? Or will the actions of the court accelerate his plans? The beautiful maze and the intriguing side characters that reside in the Otherworld are as captivating as the main story。 So ready for book 2。 。。。more
Sarah Filkin,
I got an ARC of this book from the wonderful author。So glad that she sent me one。 I admire Abigail for her inner strength and determination to solve the maze。 Valroy is quite a character。 I love his character and even though his character is a terrible person, you can't help but understand why。I will confess I am rooting for them to being a couple, but we will have to see what Kathryn decides。 I always love her books and her endings are perfect。I would definitely recommend this book, it so delic I got an ARC of this book from the wonderful author。So glad that she sent me one。 I admire Abigail for her inner strength and determination to solve the maze。 Valroy is quite a character。 I love his character and even though his character is a terrible person, you can't help but understand why。I will confess I am rooting for them to being a couple, but we will have to see what Kathryn decides。 I always love her books and her endings are perfect。I would definitely recommend this book, it so delicious。 。。。more
Marla,
I feel that Kathryn did an amazing job writing The Unseelie Price。 I feel that she kept true to how the fae act (mischievous, ruthless, cunning, violent, etc), and when she created Valroy I think he is the whole package lol。 I enjoyed Abigail a lot, while she may not be physically strong, I feel that she is mentally strong。 She has a strong sense of self and morals and stays true to them。 I loved reading about Valroy, he is so unpredictable and just when I thought I might know how he will react I feel that Kathryn did an amazing job writing The Unseelie Price。 I feel that she kept true to how the fae act (mischievous, ruthless, cunning, violent, etc), and when she created Valroy I think he is the whole package lol。 I enjoyed Abigail a lot, while she may not be physically strong, I feel that she is mentally strong。 She has a strong sense of self and morals and stays true to them。 I loved reading about Valroy, he is so unpredictable and just when I thought I might know how he will react to something, its completely different。 Also, the banter and bickering between Abigail and Valroy is pretty comical, but I also absolutely loved when they have their emotional moments when it's just the two of them。 I loved the way Kathryn built this world, it makes me wish I could actually go to Tir n’Aill and see what it's like at night。 Overall, I very much enjoyed this book! Once I started reading it, I had a very hard time putting it down。 I am so excited for book 2! I can't wait to see what Valroy is up to and what trouble he causes。 Just a head's up, this book does end on a cliffhanger (but it is totally worth it!!)。 。。。more
